Climate Action Network Australia

Climate Action Network Australia

Climate Action Network Australia (CANA) is a network of organisations working together to protect people from climate change and its impacts, to safeguard our natural environment, and to build a fairer and healthier Australia for everyone. As a central part of the Australian climate movement, CANA provides the coordination for network members to build relationships, collaborate on strategy and campaigns, and develop and share resources and capacity to build a stronger, more effective social movement advocating for action on climate change.

National Landcare Network

National Landcare Network

The National Landcare Network is the peak representative body for community Landcare groups across Australia. We give a voice to Community Landcare across the country, with over 2000 active State and Territory Landcare Organisation members representing more than 6000 individual Landcare groups and over 160,000 landcarers across Australia. Through our work, we foster, support and strengthen the knowledge, resources and capabilities of Community Landcare and the thousands of volunteers who are at its heart.

Australian Sustainable Finance Institute

The Australian Sustainable Finance Institute (ASFI) was established in 2021 by 21 of Australia’s largest financial institutions to realign Australia’s financial system to support a more sustainable, resilient and inclusive Australia. Australia’s security, prosperity and wellbeing is inextricably linked to that of the region in which we are situated. ASFI represents Australian financial institutions – including major banks, superannuation funds, insurers, asset managers, and financial services firms – that are committed to supporting and driving sustainable finance in Australia and the region.

Engineers Australia

With around 100,000 individual members, Engineers Australia is the profession’s peak body. We are the voice of the profession, and exist to advance the science and practice of engineering for the benefit of the community.

Planning Institute of Australia

As the national body for planners and the planning profession, PIA represents approximately 5,300 planners and connects with over 10,500 planners annually. PIA believes in the power of planning to shape our world, including driving action on climate change. You can read more about PIA’s climate advocacy here.

Griffith Climate Action Beacon

We are the national voice and advocate for young people. We represent more than 4.5 million age 12–25 across the country and believe that young people have the power to create a better world. Learn more about AYAC

The Infrastructure Sustainability Council is a member-based, purpose-led peak body working in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand to enable sustainability outcomes in infrastructure including through the leading quadruple bottom line infrastructure assurance tool, the IS Rating Scheme.

Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) represents more than 131,000 financial professionals who are embedded in every level of business, who are pivotal to the increasing need for reporting and assurance on environmental, social and governance issues and risks.

Indigenous Carbon Industry Network

ICIN is a network of Indigenous-owned organisations that develop and deliver carbon projects, mainly through savanna fire management across north Australia. Our members are currently abating 1.2 million tonnes each year generating $59 million of Australian Carbon Credit Units. We promote and facilitate an active, innovative and Indigenous-led carbon industry supporting healthy country and better livelihoods for Indigenous people.

Ecotourism Australia

Ecotourism Australia is the national peak body to support the growing ecotourism industry. We developed the first ECO certification program, recognised by the GSTC. We actively champion our ECO Certified operators while inspiring and informing sustainable tourism across our industry.

The Business Council for Sustainable Development Australia

The Business Council for Sustainable Development Australia (BCSD Australia) is a CEO-led organization that brings together companies with a shared commitment to accelerate Australia’s transition to a sustainable future.Our members come from all sectors and industries, representing more than 150,000 employees across Australia. As a member of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), BCSD Australia works to create sustainable solutions through collective innovation, science-based targets, and advocacy. BCSDA’s focus areas include decarbonization, circular economy, natural capital, and social impact, and we work closely with government, academia, civil society, and other stakeholders to drive sustainability outcomes across Australia.
